Overview & Highlights

Located in the heart of Smithfield, Rhode Island, Jack’s Irish & Italian Pizza Pub is a delightful fusion eatery that brings together the best of Irish warmth and Italian culinary tradition under one cozy roof. This restaurant offers a diverse menu that caters to a wide range of cravings, with a particular emphasis on classic, hearty pizza creations alongside comforting sandwiches and juicy burgers. The atmosphere is inviting and unpretentious—perfect for casual dining, whether you're stopping by for a quick lunch or settling in for a relaxed dinner with friends or family.

At Jack’s, pizza is clearly a star attraction. Their traditional pies range from a simple, flavorful Small Cheese Pizza ($12.99) to the more indulgent Large Pepperoni Pizza ($16.99), each boasting a perfect balance of sauce, melted cheese, and a crust that’s satisfyingly thin yet resilient enough to hold generous toppings. With an extensive list of toppings—from green peppers and jalapeños to artichokes, caramelized onions, and even meatballs—you can customize your pizza to match whatever your palate desires. It’s this attention to topping variety and quality that transforms every slice into an experience.

Beyond pizza, the menu showcases a wonderful assortment of grilled cheese and club sandwiches served with Jack’s signature chips and a crisp, fresh pickle. The Italian Grilled Cheese with pesto, prosciutto, parmesan, and roasted red peppers ($12.99) offers a melty, savory blend that's both robust and comforting, while the Vegan Grilled Cheese with vegan cheese ($12.99) ensures there’s something for every dietary preference.

For those who crave something heartier, Jack’s burgers are an undeniable draw. The Applewood Bacon Burger ($15.99) layers crisp bacon with blue cheese for a rich, smoky flavor, while the Bryant Burger offers a fun twist with fried pickles and onion rings balanced by tangy barbecue sauce. There’s also a thoughtfully crafted Vegan Burger featuring a Beyond Burger patty and vegan cheese ($16.90), proving this pub values inclusivity and taste alike.

Dining here feels warm and inviting thanks to friendly, attentive service, as highlighted by many guests. One praised the welcoming staff and described the pizzas as “gorgeous,” while another called Jack’s a “hidden gem” with “delicious” food and “excellent service.” Even the truly difficult task of satisfying diverse pizza preferences is taken seriously here, making it a spot where every visit promises flavors worth savoring.

Whether you’re a local craving a great slice of pizza or a traveler seeking an unpretentious spot with a hearty, comforting menu, Jack’s Irish & Italian Pizza Pub delivers. Step inside and you’ll soon find yourself swept up in a dining experience where bold, familiar flavors meet the cozy pub atmosphere, leaving you eager for your next visit.

Last year, I walked into Jack's Irish and Italian Pizza Pub in Smithfield as part of the RI FOOD FIGHTS Lord of the Pies event, and walked out with a story about a pizza that couldn't decide what it wanted to be. The bottom crust burned hard while the top stayed pale and raw. Cheese pooled like weather patterns. Oil slicked everything. The pepperoni cups gave up on life halfway through cooking. I wrote what I saw. I posted it. I moved on. Then Jack's did something that matters more than producing a perfect pizza on the first try. They didn't get defensive. They didn't make excuses. (See picture) They just invited me back to see what they're really about. "It was just a tough pie day," I told them. Because that's the truth. Every kitchen has them. Consistency is the hobgoblin of many restaurants, particularly the ones that are trying to get their footing set. Today we walked back in, genuinely hoping for a redemption story. Sometimes hope gets you disappointed. Sometimes it gets you vindicated. The pizza that arrived today looked nothing like last year's disaster. Thicker crust, doughy in that substantial way that makes for a chewy, satisfying experience. It had weight. Structure. The kind of foundation that holds up under scrutiny. The first bite told the whole story. Crunchy on the outside, chewy through the middle, with this unexpected toasted sesame oil flavor happening in the crust that sets it apart from every other bar pizza in Rhode Island. The sauce showed up this time, savory and well-balanced, working with high-quality cheese instead of drowning under it. This wasn't some fluke of good luck. This was a really competent pizza made by people who've figured out their recipe and their oven. The service matched the food. Friendly without being intrusive, attentive without hovering, the kind of hospitality that makes you want to stay for another beer. The room still has that Bryant Bulldog bar aesthetic working. Reclaimed wood, industrial lights, butcher block tables, sports memorabilia on the walls. It knows what it is. A neighborhood spot where you watch the game, catch up with friends, and eat pizza that holds its own. If I lived nearby, I'd be here regularly. That's not something I say often after writing a critical first review. But Jack's earned it the hard way, by taking feedback seriously and proving they can deliver when it counts. Last year's pizza was a problem. This year's pizza is the solution. Sometimes the story worth telling isn't about perfection on the first attempt. It's about showing up better the second time.

This is truly a hidden gem. My first time and definitely NOT my last. The food was delicious, service was excellent, extremely clean and very quaint. Prices were extremely reasonable. Can't wait to go back. Highly suggest going there.

A small "pizza pub" it actually has a fairly large pizza and lunch menu. Of course there is a bar but I did not examine the liquor selection. I had a small cheese pizza. It was good suza and lots of cheese! The sauce was good and the crust was thin but not paper thin. A very good pizza!

Waitress was super nice and attentive. (Kia or Kira I forget) and the pizzas were gorgeous and my wife really loved them. I had already eaten but still enjoyed the little bit I had. You can tell this place does things right.
